Hello all my parents!
I would like to take this opportunity to express my thoughts and beliefs about the parent class. I love the fact that the state is trying to get the parents more involved with their child’s driver’s education. However, I am not fond of the idea of allowing your child to get out of 10 hours of documented driving time. Nothing can replace experience when it comes to the novice driver. I know sometimes it is difficult to find time to help your child drive and get the 50 documented hours they need before they are eligible to take the road test but you need to make that a high priority. Nothing is more important than helping your child gain safe experience in all kinds of conditions. A teen driver will learn much more from their parents than they will with us just based on the how much time is spent in the car with us vs. the parents.
With that being said, I will be holding my next parent class on Saturday, August 19th 2017 from 1:00-2:30. The cost of the class is $20 per family and the whole family is invited to attend. I will be covering many subjects including organ donation, accident protocol, advice to help parents teach, as well as an open discussion period where you can ask me any questions. Thank you for your time and have a great day!
